Jan Peene (1965) graduated at the Higher Laboratory School (HLO) in Goes in 1986 and specialised in Analytical Chemistry. He started his work at CEME in 1988 on the basis of a short time contract. In 1991 he obtained a permanent position as a research assistant in a project of Jacco Kromkamp on the measurement of primary production of algae, using radioactive labelled carbon, as a main task. As the person responsible for the radioisotope laboratory he is also assisting other scientists of CEME. He is further a specialist in the programming software TestPoint, a object orientated programming language developed for measurement and control tasks.
