Personality and extra-pair paternity
Extra-pair paternity (EPP) is a common phenomenon in many socially monogamous bird species. The male that is feeding the chicks is not always the biological father. Females also mate with other males.

- We have blood samples of several populations.
- With molecular methods we can distinguish between social and biological fathers.
Possible research questions:
- Are EPP rates higher in UK or in NL?
- Is EPP related to personality?
- Do high quality males get more EPP?
- Do females choose their EP-mates?
Field work is not needed but can be discussed.
Possible any time of the year.
